Husband and wife team Brad and McKay Harris have created a community where artisans (that's you!) can share their talents, creativity and creations with others through transactions that don't require money. But how can that be, you wonder?
Here's how it works:
You list your handiwork (photography, paper crafts, jewelry, art, sewn items, basically anything handmade) and then swap them for others' handmade items - completely eliminating the
need for money. Points (whoops) are earned by both listing and swapping your handiwork. You can then take the whoops that you have earned and 'shop' within the whoopdwhoop
marketplace. It's the perfect way to partake in some retail therapy and not feel guilty! It's free, it's easy, and it's fun.

Brad & McKay hope that in this economy where things are tough for many households, whoopdwhoop will allow people to share their talents, creativity, and creations with others -- all by simply swapping.
Here are some other items you can find at whoopdwhoop:
(Half Dome Stone Bridge Photo, Artist: Vance Harris)
(12 month onesie dress with removable flower, Artist: Alicia)
As you can imagine, the more people know about and contribute to whoopdwhoop, the more varied the offerings will be. We hope to see you whoopin' it up over at whoopdwhoop.
Happy swapping!

WhoopdWhoop is such a wonderful idea! I've read about things like this going on cities, etc. too. Women offering services or handmade goods in place of things that they might need or want to purchase -- Barter and trade is making a comeback in this economy! Hehe. Now, if only I had a creative talent to share ...
I've had five successful swaps so far at whoopdwhoop -- going both directions. It is FUN!
Awesome-now if only I could make anything...
This is really cool! Such a great idea. I am totally going to do this!

This doesn't sound TAX-FREE. I'm pretty sure bartering is something that has to be taxed. So please be honest and include it on your tax forms!

Here is a link to the law concerning bartering. You might want to keep track of the worth of your bartering.
