Bloom's Second Annual "Best Of" Week...

Last year's "Best Of" Week was so much fun we decided to make it an annual tradition. Remember all the great advice we shared? We covered topics ranging from essential kitchen gadgets to best deodorant brand (who knew that would elicit such a passionate response?!)

This year we have a great line-up of tips to share and questions to pose to help us all find better solutions to the situations that crop up in daily life. Do you have a product to recommend? A great bit of advice you'd like to share? A book you're in love with? A household tip every woman should know? Or maybe you've got something you'd like to get recommendations about from other Bloomers, (what is the best brand of shampoo you can buy at the grocery store?)

We'd love to share/discuss it this week -- e.mail us! (aplacetobloom at gmail dot com)

In the mean time, let's talk about Best Blogs. What are you reading and loving these days? What holds your interest? What makes a blog great? (Please include links so we can check out the blogs you recommend!)

I'll go first. I love Marta. I also love Jordan. Her new blog, Sweat Bread, is giving me all kinds of organic inspiration. And I am always happy to see a new post from Jane.

As the Activity Days leader in my ward, I would be lost without A Bushel and a Peck!

http://angbrimwil.blogspot.com/

Her ideas are fantastic and she always has really great (I mean STUNNING) printables for all her activities. She has YW stuff on there, too, and a lot of the AD ideas could be easily geared for YW as well.

I love Jocelyn at We Talk of Christ, We Rejoice in Christ. She's amazing at very actively serving as an example and actively teaching your kids about Christ, every day and in many simple ways.

I love "71 Toes", a peek into an amazing, dedicated, normal mom's life. She is so optimistic and purposeful about what she is doing, and I love that.

Oh my goodness, where do I begin?! There are so many wonderful blogs out there, but I'll share just a few that I adore and follow.

www.stephmodo.com is probably my most favorite blog out there (aside from Bloom of course!). A little bit of everything from decorating, stylish kid parties, recipes, travel, and anything else stylish.....with an emphasis on all things french. Mother of 4 with amazing taste and is effortlessly chic. They even bought and renovated an old chataeu in southern France that is now a vacation rental. I love her blog!

www.jordanferney.blogspot.com is the perfect party blog with lots of other design related posts. Also, her family is living in Paris for the year with their two little boys and shares some amazing experiences.

www.tarteletteblog.com is the most amazing food blog ever!!! I want to create and eat everything she makes. Recipes with gluten-free substitutes are shared along with the most gorgeous food styling and food photography. She just released a book on the subject! It looks awesome.

And since this comment is already getting too long, I'll just cut to the chase. Here are several others to check out:

Ok, I'm now realizing that I may have a bit of a blog addiction, but seriously I find so much inspiration and solutions on these blogs. This is what happens when you don't have cable tv.

And one more thing...PINTEREST! I know it's not exactly a blog, but it is the best thing that has ever happened since the internet was invented! EVERYONE should use it. It's the best way to organize all those bookmarks of things such as: pretty pictures, recipes, travel ideas, DIY tutorials, cool products to check out (gift giving), decorating, party planning, and anything else you want to link back to online. So you get all these organized pinboards that look all pretty but they are so functional because, like I said, they link you right back to the original post. Genius! And you can follow others, like your favorite bloggers, and see what they're pinning too. Seriously, you must check it out!

Ok, I'm done. Sorry for the novel :-)

www.mywalkwitheden.com

It's a great little blog that chronicles the lives of a stay at home mother with a pastor/cop husband and their children: Eden, August, and a new addition (Titus) due in June. It includes short stories/devotions, children's Bible lessons, recipes and crafts. and much more. It is heartwarming and hilarious!!

Ditto the Mormon Fashion Bloggers! (I'm one of them so I'm biased.) but there is a lot of interesting style to draw inspiration from.

Pioneer Woman is always great.

And Dana Made It. Great stuff there!

I also love Inside Out Style. www.insideoutstyleblog.com She's an Australian image consultant who gives great education about the best way to dress yourself.
