I recently hosted a baby shower for my friend, Eunice. Eager to make it classy and cute, yet simple and practical, I called my sister-in-law, Rebecca, for some party planning advice. She gave me some great ideas to get the ball rolling and I think we had a great shower. Here's how it looked.
For decor:
It doesn't get more classic than wood blocks.
Fresh flowers--always a must.
I turned my dining room light fixture into a happy little paper mobile.
Rebecca gave me this darling idea to hang tiny white onesies with clothespins. Loved it!
On the (breakfast) menu:
Mini frittatas
fresh fruit (we ended up with double--thanks to Eunice's hubby!)
fresh bread with butter and jam
milk and juice
Party favors:
Simple fabric bags filled with (what else?!) dark Dove chocolates.
We had a marvelous time. Christian arrived about 10 days later, and is cute as can be.
Come back tomorrow for all the recipes and instructions!

The paper mobile is my favorite. Where did you get blank wood blocks? Do tell! :)
ReplyDeleteJoan,
ReplyDeleteThey're actually not blank. I just used the blocks my boys play with. They're from Pottery Barn Kids.
