However, one of my favorite fabrics to use was actually white lace, because you can see the pretty colour of the pant through it. :)hopeofdreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18189338187076816987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-77313211017106854292010-03-05T03:52:27.429-08:002010-03-05T03:52:27.429-08:00Awesome idea...so happy I stubbled upon this littl...Awesome idea...so happy I stubbled upon this little gem...Carmenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04283459674832466827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-13542116826617722992009-09-24T22:00:54.275-07:002009-09-24T22:00:54.275-07:00Super cute!Super cute!Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17983045210766395899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-6293248171777589882009-09-23T23:45:35.011-07:002009-09-23T23:45:35.011-07:00So feminine and modern all at the same time. Anyway, I keep thinking I need to do some of those every time I see a photo of Henry's room. so darling!Rachaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17296225105026623275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-52260984047788733832009-09-23T18:28:49.771-07:002009-09-23T18:28:49.771-07:00the iron-on stuff is called Stitch Witchery--I lov...the iron-on stuff is called Stitch Witchery--I love it. totally saves me when people start wearing teeny holes in their pants...a little of that and a teeny patch on the inside and we're good to go for another 100 miles crawling on the floor!

oh and speaking of cheap decoration things--I love those pre-painted little wooden animals/flowers/etc. from Provo Craft--they sell them here for 50 cents each at Hobby Lobby and Michaels and I've used them in a gazillion projects. One of my favorite uses was to buy a bunch of unfinished 5x7 wooden frames, paint the centers white and the actual frame to match my nursery, and then center an animal in each of the frames. I whipped out three in fifteen minutes and it cost me about $5.Rachaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17296225105026623275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-61230105489266872792009-09-23T10:46:04.061-07:002009-09-23T10:46:04.061-07:00i've been wanting to do this in our bedroom. t...i've been wanting to do this in our bedroom. thinking of painting the rings black and using fun bright sophisticated fabrics. haven't gotten around to it yet though.Katrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16281368864448367942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-41666833854818399202009-09-23T09:28:51.494-07:002009-09-23T09:28:51.494-07:00First of all...it turned out darling!

There is some kind of an adhesive backing that she used (ironed it on) which made the fabric stiff. I think that stuff would work so you wouldn't get any future wrinkles. No idea what it's called though.Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06469858809664004838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3314654863949920054.post-32378710724905742882009-09-23T07:08:48.694-07:002009-09-23T07:08:48.694-07:00gorgeous, Em! love this idea (and didn't you ...gorgeous, Em! love this idea (and didn't you do something similar with fabric panels over your mantle?)

this is such a fun project, since there are so many adorable patterns out there--I'm thinking I may do something similar to match the quilt I made for my girls. thanks for the tip!Rachaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17296225105026623275noreply@blogger.com
